Brock Lesnar vs. Finn Balor is officially set for the Royal Rumble and according to the Wrestling Observer, that’s thanks to the Universal champion himself.

It’s already been reported that officials decided against Braun Strowman challenging ‘The Beast’ again at the RR due to Vince feeling that the ‘Monster Among Men’ couldn’t afford to take another loss to the Universal champion.

Lesnar was actually an advocate for a match against Balor at last year’s Royal Rumble event, but Vince ultimately decided not to go through with the match due to the chairman believing that the inaugural champion wasn’t over enough. The Royal Rumble takes place on January 27th and airs live on WWE Network.
