It always seemed like a long shot that Finn Balor would defeat Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble but The Beast was definitely pushed to his limit by the first-ever Universal Champion. Balor came close to winning on a number of occasions but David ultimately fell to Goliath after Lesnar reversed a pinfall into a Kimura Lock which then resulted in Balor tapping out after fighting his way to the ropes.
Making it clear that he's very much a heel, the victorious Lesnar proceeded to hit a number of German Suplexes and an F5 on Balor to put an exclamation mark on his impressive victory here.
While many fans are critical of Lesnar's part-time schedule, he's put on some fantastic matches not only with Balor but also AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan in recent months and this was definitely exciting. Below, Paul Heyman talks more about his client's victory as we now head into WrestleMania...
