As you may have noticed, there was no mention of Brock Lesnar on this past Monday's episode of RAW despite the fact WWE was originally planning on holding a Six-Pack Challenge at Extreme Rules to decided a new #1 contender for his Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Well, there may be a very good reason for that; apparently, Lesnar isn't returning to the company anytime soon!
According to PWInsider, "There’s been some rumblings that Brock isn’t coming back anytime soon. If Brock isn’t coming back anytime soon then when the hell is he coming back? Because if he’s already planning to train to return to fight in UFC, chances are he’s not gonna care all that match about competing in pro wrestling, no matter what WWE is paying him."
Mike Johnson then went out to point out that the reason Lesnar played it safe with his No Disqualification match against Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32 was because he was preparing for UFC 200. While he's not expected to return to the octagon until January, he's no doubt already hard at work and WWE will want to get the title on someone fairly soon because it's been absent from RAW for ages.
With any luck, Lesnar will just drop the title to Braun Strowman in quick fashion when he cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase but who knows, it's possible that WWE has something secret planned...
