Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley went one-on-one again during last night's Elimination Chamber premium live event, and while this latest battle of the behemoths was an exciting (if a bit short) match, fans were left disappointed by the finish.
What happened after the bout might be the bigger story, however.
When The Almighty put the Hurt Lock on Lesnar, The Beast resorted to a low blow to break the hold, and the ref awarded Lashley the DQ victory. Brock was not happy, and proceeded to deliver F5s to the official and his opponent.
Lesnar then put Lashley through the announce desk, and hit another F5 on the ref outside the ring. Bryan Alvarez believes this spot was not planned.
Brock reportedly got backstage heat for an earlier unscripted referee attack after being eliminated from the Royal Rumble, so if this is accurate, he might be in a bit of trouble.
In any event, this obviously paves the way for another Lesnar-Lashley match down the line - but not necessarily at WrestleMania. From what we can gather, the current plan is to have Brock face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the show of shows, while Bray Wyatt seemingly set his sights on the winner of this match on SmackDown (that'd be Bobby).
