Brock Lesnar Was Supposed To Announce His Return To RAW On The WWE BACKSTAGE Premiere

As we told you last week, Renee Young was supposed to make a huge announcement on Friday Night SmackDown about a guest for the first episode of WWE Backstage on Fox Sports 1. While there was speculation that it could be CM Punk, we now know that Brock Lesnar was actually supposed to be making an appearance.

However, with almost the entire WWE roster trapped in Saudi Arabia, Lesnar and Paul Heyman were drafted in to appear on SmackDown and make the announcement that The Beast has quit the blue brand so he can move to RAW and get revenge on Rey Mysterio.

From a storyline point of view, none of this really makes sense as it pretty much means any Superstar can "quit" a show and head to the other. Then again, Lesnar has always been something of a special case and it's hard to complain too much when SmackDown now has new Universal Champion, The Fiend!

What do you guys think?
