WWE has made some big changes to its creative direction.
The company announced on Thursday night that the teams from both main roster shows, Raw and SmackDown, would be consolidated into one group moving forward. This new team will be led by SmackDown Executive Director Bruce Prichard, while (former) Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman will be stepping down from that position to concentrate on his role as an in-ring performer.
We have no idea what prompted these changes, but the powers that be clearly feel that Prichard is the best man for the job, which is somewhat surprising when you consider that Raw has been the better show by some margin and delivered stronger ratings for a while now.
At any rate, we wish Prichard luck in his new position, and hope these corporate moves yield positive results.
