Cedric Alexander finally turned heel last night on Raw by betraying Apollo Crews and Ricochet during a six-man tag team match and officially joining The Hurt Business.
MVP and co. have been beating Alexander down for weeks now, trying to get him to see the writing on the wall and join their faction. There was some speculation that this might be a swerve and either Crews or Ricochet would end up turning, but WWE smartly allowed the storyline to play out.
After Cedric cost his partners the match, he was inducted into The Hurt Business during a VIP Lounge segment. Alexander said his wallet was always broke hanging out with his former friends, and he wanted the opportunity to "learn and earn" under MVP.
This (actually pretty decent) promo was eventually interrupted by Crews, Ricochet and The Viking Raiders, and another six-man tag match got underway.
This was all very well done, and Alexander is already demonstrating more passion and believability as a heel than he ever did as a face. Let's hope this leads to bigger and better things for the talented Superstar.
