Cesaro fans were delighted when the veteran WWE Superstar finally got a shot at the Universal Championship at WrestleMania Backlash, but it looks like the Swiss Superman's main event push might be short-lived.
According to several sources (and common sense), Cesaro is set to face Seth Rollins for the third time at the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV event. Now, while that might not seem like a bad position for him to be in or feud to keep going, it may not bode well for his future at the top of the card.
Every other challenger for Roman Reigns' title has had at least two opportunities to defeat him and win the gold, but with Jimmy Uso expected to be The Tribal Chief's next opponent, Cesaro looks set to be the first "one and done." Plus, we don't see him defeating Rollins at HIAC after already winning their last two matches. In fact, rumor has it that Rollins is being lined up as one of Reigns' challengers down the line (this probably won't happen for a while since they're both currently heels).
We hope we're wrong and Cesaro continues to have excellent matches with the company's top-tier Superstars before eventually winning his first major singles title, but right now, things are not looking good.
