Chad Gable Turns Heel On RAW By Brutally Attacking Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn

Last night's RAW saw Chad Gable turn heel by brutally attacking Sami Zayn after once again failing to capture the Intercontinental Championship. You can find out exactly what happened right here...

Despite being one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE, Chad Gable hasn't had the easiest time of it in the company.

After debuting as a member of the Alpha Academy, the Superstar many argued could be the next Kurt Angle was lumbered with the terrible "Shorty G" gimmick by Vince McMahon (who no doubt thought it was hilarious).

Thankfully, with the out-of-touch billionaire gone, Gable has been given the chance by Triple H to show what he can do. That included very nearly dethroning Gunther when he was Intercontinental Champion and fans got behind him in a way which saw even Sami Zayn draw negative reactions when he was named #1 contender for the title at WrestleMania

Gable helped train Sami before his match and, ultimately, he was victorious. During last night's RAW, Chad got another shot at the title, only to come up short yet again when Zayn hit him with a Helluva Kick.

Despite being disappointed and frustrated, Gable raised Zayn's hand and left the Intercontinental Champion to speak to his wife at ringside. With that, he snuck up on him, hit a German Suplex, and delivered a beatdown before locking Sami in a brutal Ankle Lock as RAW went off the air.

Gable appears to have turned heel and the potential is there for him to have a run every bit as successful as Angle's when he broke bad following a well-received run as a babyface.

We'd also bet on this resulting in Gable breaking free of Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxine, with it looking like he'll be joined by The Creed Brothers (who were shown training him before his match with Zayn).

While not confirmed, Gable will probably challenge Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at Backlash in France next month. It would be good to see him pick up a win there, but time will tell.

I'm kind of disappointed, I think he should have a run as a babyface myself.
