Charlotte Flair's entrance during last year's
WrestleMania was nothing short of iconic, and arriving by helicopter was definitely a fitting way for The Queen to arrive at the MetLife Stadium in New York.
As you may recall, it was almost the exact same entrance as the one her father - two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair - made at
The Great American Bash in 1985. Now, Charlotte has revealed that it wasn't something she pitched to WWE, and that she didn't find out it was happening until days before the Show of Shows.
"That was definitely not my idea," Flair laughed. "Do you think I actually went to the boss and asked for a helicopter? I didn’t even know about the entrance until our last go-home show before ‘Mania. They were like, ‘Hey, we have this idea. What do you think?’ And I was like, ‘That is incredible.’ With so many playbacks to my dad, it was very cool."
It really was an incredible
WrestleMania moment, and as Flair says, a perfect way to pay homage to her father. At this year's Showcase of the Immortals, The Queen is set to face NXT Champion Rhea Ripley for the title in what's shaping up to be a possible show stealer.
What did you guys think of this entrance?
