Charlotte Flair Reveals How Long She Will Be Absent From WWE Television

We've been hearing a lot about Charlotte Flair's planned absence from WWE television, and The Queen herself has now weighed in, explaining that she intends to step back into the ring sooner than expected.

On Monday night's episode of RAW, WWE wrote Charlotte Flair off television when she was attached by Nia Jax. Since then, we've heard conflicting reports about how long she'll be gone from the company, with some claiming The Queen will be back by SummerSlam, and others saying we won't see Flair again until next year.

One prevailing opinion, though, is that Flair will be getting some surgery done, but the former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Women's Champion has now told Sport Hiatus that she only intends to be away from WWE for weeks.

"Yes, I’ll only be gone for a few weeks," she confirmed. "They can still play things on the WWE Network, but utilizing my social media will be most important while I’m gone. No one is going to miss me. They’re still going to feel like I’m there is basically what I’m saying. I’m gone but I’m not really gone."

These comments are definitely interesting, but line up with claims that Flair is going to work SummerSlam and then take some time off. WWE can't really afford to lose her right now, that's for sure, so it's no great shock that she isn't actually going to be off television until the Royal Rumble next year!
