Ahead of Dean Ambrose's final WWE match, he sat down with fellow members of The Shield Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to talk about a number of topics.
The interview is well worth watching but things take an interesting turn at the end when Michael Cole starts to ask the Lunatic Fringe about what comes next for him.
"Let me stop you right there because I already know what your final question is gonna be. I don’t appreciate people putting words in my mouth. I don’t appreciate people trying to tell the story of my life to fit their narrative."
"Eight years ago, I walked into this casino," he continues. "Now I’m cashing my chips and walking away from the table. I won the game. What I do with the rest of my life from here on out is my business. I answer to no one. This time the Million Dollar Man didn’t get what he wanted because I can’t be bought."
Honestly, it sounds like Ambrose might be ready to hang up his wrestling boots for the foreseeable future and, for all we know, he may be happy to drive off into the sunset and enter a completely different line of work. Speculation continues running rampant that he'll join All Elite Wrestling, however.
Whatever the case may be, WWE has handled his departure in a unique way and are seemingly keen to leave the door open to him returning there one day.
