Chris Jericho Reveals Why He Didn't Appear On SMACKDOWN LIVE's 1000th Episode

On Tuesday night, WWE hosted Smackdown 1000, a very special anniversary episode of the show which featured the return of big names like Rey Mysterio, Batista, Edge, and Ric Flair. However, a lot of other big names were conspicuous by their absence and among them was former WWE Champion Chris Jericho. He was featured in the highlight reel which opened the show but failed to appear.

So, where was the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion? Well, when Y2J was asked on Twitter why he didn't make an appearance at SmackDown 1000, his answer was a relatively simple one.

"Nobody asked me..." Considering the fact this was just a two-hour show, it's now great surprise that a lot of Superstars from the past weren't invited back but it's hard not to wonder if Jericho may not be on the best terms with WWE, especially as he's made some unflattering comments about the company and currently works for New Japan Pro Wrestling. With any luck, he will end up returning soon.
