Chris Jericho Says It Wouldn't Bother Him If He Never Returned To WWE To Wrestle Another Match

Chris Jericho has said on multiple occasions that his recent WWE run was his favourite, but new comments from the former United States Champion point to him being ready to leave his wrestling career behind.

Chris Jericho's WWE returns are always good fun and his latest run with the company may very well have been his best ever. Not only was his in ring work highly enjoyable, but the birth of everything from "It!" to the List of Jericho saw the Fozzy frontman get many of the greatest and biggest reactions of his career.

While it's understandable that Jericho is going to be worrying about topping that, comments in a recent interview make it sound very much like Y2J is more than happy to go out on a high and not return to the squared circle ever again.

"It’ll be a long time before I go back. If I ever do go back, if I never go back, it’s fine. If I never wrestle another match, it wouldn’t bother me."

Well, that's upsetting to hear! Jericho has been a staple of WWE for a very long time and while he's obviously in the later stage of his wrestling career, it's looked for a while like he's got plenty of gas left in the tank. Of course, chances are he's just teasing fans with the prospect he won't return, though it's equally as likely that Jericho is content to leave his career as it is without coming back and failing to top what's come before.

We'll just have to wait and see, but feel free to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
