Many fans of the WWE Attitude era would agree that Chyna made a lasting impression throughout her WWE career.
The “Ninth Wonder of The World” broke the glass ceiling by dominating men inside the WWE ring and ultimately became the only woman to hold the Intercontinental championship twice.
Despite a memorable career, Chyna has yet to be inducted into to the company’s Hall of fame, with speculation circulating that politics backstage are the reason why the former WWE women’s champion has yet to be inducted.
Jan LaQue, mother of Chyna, took to Facebook, the day after her late daughter’s 49th Birthday, and penned a statement on why it’s time the company do ‘the right thing’ and induct Chyna in the WWE Hall of fame:
“As many of you know, yesterday would have been Joanie’s (Chyna’s) birthday. I truly appreciate all of the messages and rememberances of her that were posted by so many of you. As you can imagine, it’s always a very sad day for me. But it helps a lot to know how many people remember her and loved her. It’s one of the worst things in the world to lose a child. We HAVE to get her into the WWE hall of fame. She richly deserves to be there. WWE – LISTEN UP and do what’s right for Chyna!! You owe her that for what she did for you and women’s wrestling. She earned her place there. And it’s long overdue.”
Many fans have called for WWE to induct Chyna since her unfortunate passing back in April 2016. In May of that same year, WWE CBO Stephanie McMahon told TMZ Sports that Chyna would be in the Hall of Fame ‘at some point in the future.'
