CLASH OF CHAMPIONS: WWE Was Forced To Pull Three Superstars From Last Night's PPV

Clash of Champions has received a mostly positive response from fans since airing on the WWE Network last night, but the company was forced to pull three Superstars from the show shortly before it started...

During last night's Clash of Champions "Kickoff" show, WWE confirmed rumours that a number of Superstars had not been cleared to compete during the PPV.

Shayna Baszler, Nikki Cross, and Nia Jax were all described as not being medically cleared, though no specific reasons were given. However, following an outbreak of COVID-19 in the WWE Performance Center, it seems likely that they may have tested positive for the virus or come into contact with someone who has.

Bayley ended up defending the SmackDown Women's Championship against Asuka, while it was mentioned that the status of the Women's Tag Team Championships would be addressed during tonight's episode of RAW

It seems unlikely that Baszler and Jax will be stripped of the title unless, of course, they are legitimately injured and set to be on the shelf for a number of months.

As for how COVID-19 may have found its way to the main roster, it's believed that many of the Retribution members who appeared during last week's RAW were part of the NXT roster, so chances are that's how it found its way to the likes of Baszler, Cross, and Jax.

We'll keep you guys updated if and when we learn more about the situation.
