CM Punk And John Cena Reflect On Their Historic MONEY IN THE BANK Match Back In 2011

Fresh off his "pipebomb" promo, CM Punk was hotter than ever before as he went into the 2011 Money in the Bank PPV for his WWE Championship match against John Cena. The show ended with him leaving with the title through the red hot Chicago crowd, and what followed was an incredible run which cemented the Best in the World as exactly that.

After sharing his gratitude for Cena, referee Scott Armstrong, and the WWE Universe earlier this week, the leader of the Cenation responded to put Punk over and thank everyone for making it a classic.

Looking back at both that arena and the storyline itself, it's crazy to see how much WWE has changed...and not for the better. The days of storylines like these appear to be over, and even if Punk were to make his long rumoured WWE return, it's hard to imagine him being able to recapture this magic. Cena, meanwhile, is now a Hollywood star.
