Former WWE Champion CM Punk recently took some questions from fans on Twitter and, as you might expect, the subject of his possible in-ring return came up. When one fans suggested he could return to the company to main event WrestleMania 37 in a match with current Universal Champion Roman Reigns, he issued the perfect response.
"I'd do opening match," Punk responded. "That show is 67 hours long."
In recent years, the length of WrestleMania has increased massively. What used to be a two or three hour show has now become six or seven hours long and, this year, was even split over two nights. It must be hellish for those in the main event waiting all that time, and so Punk's tongue in cheek response isn't a surprise!
Since leaving WWE, Punk has embarked on an acting career, gave UFC a try (where's he's 0-2) and even joined the WWE Backstage team for a while. That show was cancelled, of course, and as of right now, there doesn't appear to be any interest from him or WWE when it comes to rejoining the company.
