CM Punk Rumored To Have Joined WWE BACKSTAGE On FOX Sports 1

Take this with a pinch of salt but multiple outlets are reporting that CM Punk has indeed signed a deal with FOX Sports 1 to be part of the planned WWE Backstage show which launches this November. Hosted by Renee Young and Booker T, the studio show will feature WWE news and interviews and will essentially serve as a platform to promote Friday Night SmackDown.

It's hard to say what role Punk might play but it's worth noting that he would be employed by FOX and that these talks will have taken place with them rather than WWE.

FOX must have discussed Punk's return with the company, though, and it's hard to imagine this not opening the door to him stepping back inside the squared circle somewhere down the line. Honestly, we could even see him make a surprise appearance on Friday Night SmackDown this week as it's the premiere.

As always, we'll keep you guys updated.
