Last night, Tye Dillinger issued a statement in which he revealed that he had asked WWE for his release. Now, Cody Rhodes has weighed in to support his old friend and fans are already wondering about the possibility that "The Perfect 10" could be about to join the All Elite Wrestling roster.
However, while Dillinger and Rhodes might be friends, that doesn't mean he's guaranteed a spot in AEW.
After all, the newly launched company is trying to be its own thing and while we're bound to see some familiar faces from WWE, the last thing they want to do is fill their ranks with ex-WWE Superstars who have a chip on their shoulder, becoming WWE-lite in the process (that's what happened with TNA remember and we all know how that went).
I guess we'll just have to wait and see but Dillinger should land on his feet where he ultimately ends up going.
