It's quickly become apparent that Cody Rhodes no longer needs WWE. Since leaving the company and his Stardust persona behind, the son of the legendary Dusty Rhodes has helped inject new life into the Indy Wrestling scene and was responsible for launching the massively successful All In.
Since 2016, Rhodes has won several world titles and joined the Bullet Club, making history along the way. However, with his contract set to expire in the next few months, fans everywhere are wondering what's next for him, especially as a return to WWE would no doubt see him propelled to the top. Well, during a recent interview, Cody made it clear that the door is open to him returning to WWE.
"Well, my own promotion is still ROH. I know the big what-to-do is, oh, January 1 we are going to show up on WWE… Pretty possible," Cody teased. "But my own promotion is still ROH and I love ROH." Honestly, as great as it would be to see him in WWE again, it still feels like it's a little too soon as he's thriving on the Indy scene and still has a lot more he could do across the globe.
Then again, with the Royal Rumble around the corner, it's feasible both his and The Young Bucks could end up making a surprise appearance! What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below.
