Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns Now Official For WRESTLEMANIA As The Rock Turns Heel By SLAPPING Rhodes

There was a great deal of hype heading into last night's WrestleMania Kickoff and it did not disappoint.

WWE has all but confirmed that Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley will defend her title against Becky Lynch, though "The Man" will need to win the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia first!

Seth Rollins was next and when the World Heavyweight Champion called out Cody Rhodes, out came Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns instead.

He said Rhodes gave up his right to choose during SmackDown and revealed that he chooses to face The Rock. Dwayne Johnson soon made his presence felt and, in an undeniably heel-ish manner, started telling fans why he and Reigns should headline the Showcase of the Immortals (he even brought a family tree).

It reached a point where the American Nightmare had heard enough. He came out and chose to face Reigns, making Rhodes vs. Reigns II official for WrestleMania.

When Cody made some choice remarks about Reigns' family, The Rock decided to step in and proceeded to slap Rhodes in the face. It's clear now he's a heel and that he's allied himself with his cousin. They even left together, with the Brahma Bull demanding that Triple H sort the problem out in a foul-mouthed tirade.

Regardless of the reality behind this situation, it's making for undeniably compelling viewing and we're intrigued to see where it's heading. The Rock is training to compete at WrestleMania; could we get a tag team match or will Reigns pull double duty? And who will help Rhodes? Rollins? CM Punk?!
