Cody Rhodes Will Reportedly Debut In WWE With The Exact Same Gimmick And Look He Had In AEW

Cody Rhodes is expected to square off with Seth Rollins at this year's WrestleMania, and we now have some surprising details on what WWE has planned for the American Nightmare now he's back in the company.

The last time we saw Cody Rhodes in a WWE ring, he was Stardust. After leaving the company, he went on to make a splash on the independents and ultimately changed the wrestling business forever by helping to found All Elite Wrestling. The American Nightmare has since left the company (and his EVP role), and is expected to make his WWE return in time for WrestleMania

Some fans haven't been able to help but wonder if WWE will give Rhodes a push before looking to bury him again, something that certainly wouldn't be out of character for the company!

Regardless of what the future might hold in store for the former TNT Champion, WrestleVotes is reporting that, "Two very high profile people were adamant to the boss that if (when) Cody Rhodes arrives, he should be exactly what he was in AEW. Presentation, ring gear, theme music, pyro, etc. The visual impact of the 'American Nightmare' crossing the line is significant here."

That adds up, and may bode well for what version of Rhodes we'll see in WWE. He always felt like a sports entertainer in AEW, so he should fit in well in 2022-era WWE. There's only one episode of RAW left before WrestleMania, though the expectation is that WWE's latest signee will first appear at the Show of Shows. We'll have to wait and see, but keep checking back here for the latest.
