Concept Art For Vince McMahon's Comedy Makeover For The Revival Has Been Revealed

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were recently released by WWE, and it looks like they had a very lucky escape as concept art of the comedy gimmick Vince McMahon wanted to saddle them with has now been revealed...

It's been clear for a while now that The Revival were never going to be treated the way they should be by WWE, something which is downright baffling given how talented they are. As you may recall, there were rumblings a while back that Vince McMahon wanted to repackage Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder as a comedy duo and, well, this will truly haunt your nightmares!

The whole reason Wilder tripped during his entrance on an episode of SmackDown was because McMahon was testing the waters, and when they clearly refused to head down the route of being a comedic duo, they vanished from television. Now, though, they've been released by WWE, and are free to make an impact in All Elite Wrestling (where it's easy to imagine them being booked as the stars they are).

For what it's worth, both men reacted to this concept art on Twitter. Dawson (now known as Dax Harwood) said, "We were voted WWE’s Match of The Year once..." Wilder (whose new name is Cash Wheeler) added, "Plead the Fifth." Needless to say, the sooner they get on a podcast and discuss what went wrong in WWE, the better.

Thank goodness they're free, though, eh?
