Sad news coming out of tonight's episode of NXT as Cora Jade appears to once again be injured.

Earlier in the night, before NXT started to air, WWE released a backstage segment (that would later air on the episode) wherein Cora Jade had a verbal altercation with Jordynne Grace. Jade mentioned that Ava had signed off not only on her officially challenging Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at the upcoming TNA Sacrifice event (scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2025 at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas), but that Ava had also booked Jade and Grace in a match.

Grace and Jade argued about a few things—namely about Roxanne Perez (who Jade reiterated isn't her best friend) and Jade's ego of saying when she wins the knockouts title, she's going to bring more prestige to it than it ever had when Grace was champion.

When the bell rang and it was time for them to face off in the ring this week, it was unfortunately not long before something was wrong.

During a commercial break, the match was stopped and the referee and a medic were shown to be checking up on Jade, who was sitting on the bottom turnbuckle in the corner as Grace stood by, waiting to find out if the match would continue or not.

By the time the commercial break ended, it wasn't long before the bell rang again and the match had been thrown out due to injury. Jade was shown being helped out of the ring as Grace was awarded the victory.

It had been shown that Masha Slamovich was ringside for the match, watching her future opponent and scouting to learn for that upcoming title defense. Whether or not she was meant to get involved remains to be seen.

Fightful Select has since reported that while speculation was naturally that Jade had reaggravated her previous knee issues, it is supposedly a head injury of sorts instead. More often than not, that points to a concussion of sorts, but until something has been clarified and officially announced, that is just speculation.

The same goes for whether or not Jade will be cleared in time to compete at TNA Sacrifice, or a replacement opponent will have to be determined to give Slamovich someone else to wrestle.

Here's hoping Cora Jade is able to bounce back swiftly and that this was more of a scare than an injury that will put her on the shelf.
