Corey Graves Reveals That He's Considered An In-Ring Return Following Daniel Bryan's Comeback

Like Daniel Bryan, Corey Graves was forced to give us his in-ring career due to a series of concussions but now that the leader of the Yes Movement is back in action, could the commentator follow that path?

Daniel Bryan's return to in-ring competition has been nothing short of miraculous and it's led fans to wonder which other fan-favourite wrestlers could return after having their careers cut short. Corey Graves never made it to the main roster and was forced to give us competing while still in NXT but he took that negative and made it a positive when he turned his hand to commentary instead.

Asked recently how he feels about seeing Daniel Bryan back in action, Graves revealed his shock at learning of Bryan's return and explained that it made him wonder what comes next for him.

"That day was tough for me. I didn’t know about it. Nobody gave me a heads up. For Bryan, I was stoked. He’s a friend. He’s incredible in the ring. That’s where he belongs. It caught me off guard. I started asking questions to myself, Should I? What if? I had a few conversations with few people [in WWE] who put it out there. If you want to pursue this maybe we can look into it. So I spent about a week and a half weighing the options. It was, do I become a wrestler again and what happens?"

The thing which seems to be stopping Graves from tempting fate and trying to wrestle again is the success he's found as a commentator and it doesn't sound like he's anxious to give that up.

"Again, this is all potential of would this work out, do I end up on the sidelines. I talked to my wife, talked to some friends. I think as much as I don’t believe in fate, this all kind of worked itself out so I think this is where I belong so why step out of it?" There you have it then. Graves has got a good thing going and he really is better off not putting his health at risk in any way.
