In 2015, WWE was forced to cancel
RAW due to a snowstorm in Hartford, Connecticut. The show still aired but it featured highlights from the
Royal Rumble PPV and backstage interviews with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to hype their match at
WrestleMania later that year.
Now,
SmackDown announcer Corey Graves has revealed an extremely generous gesture by The Beast which he quietly did for his fellow WWE Superstars who were trapped in a local hotel.
"Allegedly, [the] now WWE Champion paid a significant amount of money to keep the bar wide open for everybody to make sure they made the best of a crappy situation," Graves said during his After The Bell podcast. "I, of course, stayed in a completely different hotel, but it led to me finding the only open establishment in the scenic Stamford, CT where myself and two-thirds of The Shield made sure that none of the beers at said establishment went unattended."
"What a day," he concluded. "Not all bad things came from that snow storm: fun memories, fun times but let's hope RAW doesn't get cancelled ever again."
We often see Lesnar attacked for his part-time schedule with WWE and you don't need to look far to find people trashing his character. However, it's clear that despite his apparent unsociable, frosty demeanour, he's a pretty nice guy and willing to help out his fellow Superstars!
