Could Brock Lesnar's Attack On Rey Mysterio & His Son Be Building Towards The Debut Of Cain Velasquez?

This past Monday's "season premiere" of Raw opened with a shocking segment which saw Brock Lesnar decimate Rey Mysterio and his son Dominic, and now we're hearing it may be setting up a very exciting debut.

There have been rumors that WWE is interested in signing former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, and Monday's brutal Raw opening segment may be setting up his debut.

Velasquez, who has previously defeated Brock Lesnar in the octagon for the UFC title, is not said to be in talks, but Dave Melzter reckons having Brock Lesnar viciously attack Mexican legend Rey Mysterio and his son is supposed to pave the way for a potential feud between Cain and The Beast.

After the beat-down, Paul Heyman conducted a backstage interview in which he suggested that nobody in wrestling or any "professional sport" could do anything about Lesnar's actions, and that was taken as a little tease of what might be on the cards.

What do you guys think? Is there anything to this, or is Meltzer simply guessing (again)?
