Could Goldberg Return To Face Dolph Ziggler At SUMMERSLAM?

We didn't think we'd be seeing Goldberg again after his disastrous match with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown, but the WCW Legend is reportedly being lined up to face Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam...

It looks like we may now know why Dolph Ziggler has been taking shots at Goldberg on WWE TV over the past few weeks.

Despite reports that the WCW Legend is not on the best of terms with Vince McMahon after his horrendous match with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown, Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer has heard that he is being lined up as The Showoff's surprise opponent for SummerSlam.

"The funny part of this story is the only reason I know about it is because somehow an Internet troll trying to make me look bad reported that I reported Ziggler vs. Goldberg, which I didn’t do. When I noted I never reported it, the info was given to me that Goldberg, was, in fact, the secret opponent of Ziggler that was being kept quiet to the point that even the official internal lineup sheet lists Ziggler vs. Miz."

We do know that the advertised match between The Miz and Ziggler is expected to be a placeholder, so maybe Goldberg really is set to return at the PPV. The more obvious choice would be Shawn Michaels after Dolph Superkicked him last week, but apparently HBK has no interest in another match.

What do you guys think?
