Damian Priest Reveals Whether He's Injured Following Scary Spot During Saturday's CLASH AT THE CASTLE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has addressed the status of his foot following a scary botched(?) over-the-top rope spot at Clash at the Castle and hits back at his critics. Check it out...

At Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland this past Saturday, World Heavyweight Champion and Judgement Day member Damian Priest jumped over the top rope and got his foot caught in the process.

With his right leg trapped between the top and middle ropes, he was forced to hang there until Drew McIntyre and the referee figured out a way to free him without breaking character. For the rest of the match, however, Priest was limping and seemed unable to put any real pressure on his foot.

Was it a legitimate injury or all part of the story? The magic of pro wrestling is we simply don't know!

Priest did, however, share an update during the Clash at the Castle post-show press conference. "[My ankle] feels like trash right now," he said. "I didn't even go to medical yet so I could do this, talk to you guys, and answer your questions, so you're all welcome. Docs will check it out but, I mean, I ain't going anywhere. I was able to beat Drew McIntyre with one foot, so I'm pretty sure I'm all good to go."

He also commented on what proved to be an impressive victory over McIntyre (courtesy of a helping hand from CM Punk, of course).

"I think this was my favorite [crowd] just for the fact that they wanted me to lose so bad and I won. There is no better feeling than somebody telling you you can't do something and then shoving it down their throat. To me, this is - so far - my favorite place."

"Again, more things to shove down people's throats. Before I was a champ, 'You can't do it,' I did it. 'You can't hold it,' I held it. 'You can't beat Drew in Scotland,' I did it. He called me a paper champion, he said I couldn't beat him. Everybody thought I was going to lose."

"Damian Priest is the World Heavyweight Champion, the face of Monday Night Raw. Against all odds, against all hate, I'm the champ and I'm going to continue being the champ."

As great as it might have been to see McIntyre win the title in front of a hometown crowd, it felt too soon to dethrone Priest and the Scottish Warrior's feud with Punk is hot enough to not need a championship.

We'd imagine another update on Priest's condition will be shared during tonight's episode of RAW so stay tuned for updates.
