The first SmackDown qualifying bouts for the men's and women's Money in the Bank Ladder matches took place on this week's episode, with Daniel Bryan and Dana Brooke emerging victorious.

Bryan took on Cesaro in a typically exciting encounter. Although the Swiss Superman asserted his physical dominance for much of the bout, The Leader of the Yes! Movement was ultimately able to lock on his Yes! Lock and force his opponent to tap-out while Drew Gulak kept Shinsuke Nakamura from interfering.

Far more surprising was Dana's victory over Naomi. Most people would have put their money on the Glow Queen punching her ticket to MITB against her frequently underrated and underutilized opponent, but Brooke was able to roll Naomi up for the 3-count.

She now joins Raw Superstars Asuka, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax in the Women's Ladder Match, while Rey Mysterio, Murphy, Aleister Black, Austin Theory, Apollo Crews, and MVP will all compete for the chance to join Bryan in the men's match this Monday on Raw.
