As you may recall, Dana Brooke started feuding with Natalya earlier this year but that came to an abrupt end when she challenged the WWE veteran to a match that never happened. We later heard that WWE had postponed the bout because of timing issues but Brooke has been making her frustrations known on social media for weeks.
However, that culminated in a confrontation with Ronda Rousey which saw her get destroyed by the
RAW Women's Champion in a matter of seconds. Now, Brooke has revealed that she very nearly chose to quit WWE after that bout with Natalya was scrapped at the last minute.
"When I was told that ‘your match isn’t happening,’ at that point in time I was just like ‘No. This place does not define me. I am stronger than this. I wanna go to prove to the world that you can’t keep me down.’ I said ‘You know something, if I quit now, what kind of example am I gonna be for everyone that’s followed me. Who’s supported me. Who’s been my backbone through the hardest time.'"
Adding that she realised "I cannot give up now," Brooke is clearly planning to stick around despite still only being used on a sporadic basis. Would she do better on the Indy scene? That's hard to say but it's doubtful that she would be in high demand by a company like All Elite Wrestling.
