Daniel Bryan Challenged Erick Rowan To Match To Kick-Off SMACKDOWN, But Luke Harper Got Involved

Erick Rowan made his way to the ring to open SmackDown LIVE, but his promo was cut short by Daniel Bryan who was out for revenge against his former tag-team partner and demanded a match.

Rowan dominated for much of the bout, but Bryan was ultimately able to use his superior grappling skills to ground the larger Superstar and lock in his LaBell Lock submission. However, before he could force a tap-out, Luke Harper appeared and caused a distraction, allowing Rowan to recover and hit his Claw-Slam to pick up the win.

The "Bludgeon Brothers" then prepared to lay another beating on Bryan, but Roman Reigns came to his rescue.

It now appears that DB is a full-on babyface again... although there is some speculation that it could all be a ruse, and he will still be revealed as the mastermind behind the attacks on Reigns.
