Daniel Bryan Defeats Mustafa Ali In An Exciting Match To Kick-Off SMACKDOWN LIVE

As SmackDown LIVE got underway, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan made his way out to the ring to continue berating the crowd, but he was interrupted by "The Heart of 205 LIVE," Mustafa Ali. More past the jump...

205 LIVE Superstar Mustafa Ali made an appearance on SmackDown LIVE tonight for a match with Daniel Bryan, and despite losing, he was very impressive.

The WWE Champion began by attempting to get Ali to back out of the match, but when the cruiserweight told him he came to fight, "The New" Daniel Bryan obliged by asking him what kind of car he drives and slapping the taste out of his mouth when he answered that it was an SUV!

After a solid back-and-forth bout (although Ali did hit his gorgeous Spanish Fly during the break), Bryan went after the leg and ultimately locked on his Heel Hook submission for the tap-out victory. Afterwards, Daniel continued the beat-down in the ramp, hitting Mustafa with that brutal new face-stomp of his.

Hopefully this is a sign that we'll be seeing more cross-brand promotion on the main roster shows.
