On Tuesday night's episode of
SmackDown Live, Daniel Bryan and Rowan beat The Usos to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions. It's good to see Bryan get his hands back on a title after losing the WWE Championship at
WrestleMania but it turns out that he has high hopes for the tag team division leading into next year's Show of Shows.
In a recent interview with WWE.com, Bryan talked about how the Women's Evolution led to them main eventing on the Grandest Stage of Them All but no one ever seems to discuss a tag team taking that spot. For that, he blames the rest of the company's tag teams.
"We are not those kind of tag team champions. There’s going to be a tag team evolution," he said before adding: "This is going to be self-led, a self-led tag team revolution."
"We’re not content to just be great, we are going to be the greatest tag team of all time. We are going to main event WrestleMania as Tag Team Champions." That's one heck of a goal and one it would be great to see become a reality, especially as we know that Bryan is a great tag team wrestler.
As always, stay tuned for more on this as we have it.
