With just days to go until Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan shocked the world on last night's episode of SmackDown Live when he hit AJ Styles with a low blow and his patented running knee to win the WWE Championship. After the match, he continued to beat on the Phenomenal One and had a sinister smile on his face all the while, something which seemingly pointed to a heel turn for Bryan.

Now, WWE has released a backstage interview with Bryan in which he refuses to explain his actions and it's clear that he's acting exactly like your typical heel. That's a big status quo shift for the leader of the Yes Movement but fans have definitely cooled on him in recent months so it appears as if we can expect a change in character, possibly back to the days he would say "No!" instead of "Yes!"

WWE has also released a video of Bryan posing with the title and it's now going to be very interesting seeing how long he holds the title for and just how much WWE pushes this possible heel turn.
