Daniel Bryan Says WWE Is Still Adamant That He Won't Be Returning To In-Ring Action

Despite some positive recent developments regarding Daniel Bryan's health, the SmackDown LIVE General Manager says The WWE still doesn't want him to wrestle. Is there a chance this is all part of an angle?

Daniel Bryan recently revealed that some new treatment has paid off, and he's been cleared to return to the ring by his own doctors. This, and the fact that the SmackDown LIVE GM has become actively involved in the ongoing feud between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, has led to a lot of speculation that WWE may also be clearing him to wrestle soon.

Well, best not get our hopes up too much on that front.

During an interview with Rosenberg Radio, Bryan offered the following update on his status with the company.

“We’re still at the ‘No, you’re not wrestling again’ part of that conversation, BUT... I have presented them with my case, which is a lot of testing and all that kind of stuff which shows, ‘hey, I’m fine’. And so, uh, it’s interesting. It’s an interesting situation. But that has also caused a little rift between me and the commissioner, Shane McMahon, who is Vince McMahon’s son, because there’s like, I don’t know, there’s all this stuff going on. We work together really well, but we also have some beef.”

It is interesting that he brings up his storyline with Shane here... could it be an indication that he actually is preparing to lace up his boots again and is just keeping kayfabe so it'll be more of a surprise?

Probably wishful thinking, but let us know what you think in the usual place.
