As you may have heard, Daniel Bryan still hasn't signed a new contract with WWE despite the fact they're allowing him to wrestle again. Now, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez have offered an update on where things stand and The Miz's scathing promo on this week's episode of SmackDown Live was, in their opinion, scripted that way because the company is angry with him for not signing a new deal.

In case you missed it, The Miz told the leader of the Yes Movement that he should let his contract expire so he can go back to wresting in front of dozens of people across the country in high school gyms.

However, as Meltzer notes, if Bryan leaves WWE, "He’s gonna do probably 50-60 dates and they’re gonna be the big New Japan shows…He’ll be doing Ring Of Honor shows that probably will be drawing pretty well and he’ll be doing Arena Mexico [which is] drawing more people than any arena in the world right now." For now, we'll just have to wait and see what happens with Bryan!
