There's a lot of speculation that Daniel Bryan will emerge as the next challenger for Roman Reigns' Universal Championship, but for now, it looks like he's going to have his hands full with one of the blue brand's newest acquisitions, Seth Rollins.
Bryan made his return during last night's season premiere of SmackDown, and Rollins took exception to him leaving his name off a list of Superstars he was looking forward to working with in his promo. Seth told the Leader of the YES! Movement that he was either for "the greater good" or against it (and him), Bryan called his crusade dumb, Rollins called him dumb, and they came to blows.
As Seth attempted to flee up the ramp, Rey and Domimik Mysterio forced him back into the ring. Murphy then arrived and looked like he was going to side with is old Messiah, before attacking him. He then extended his hand to the Mysterios, who declined the gesture.
We're all for a Bryan/Rollins feud, but this was not the best way to build an angle, to say the least. Hopefully creative can come up with something better than having these guys hurl childish insults at each other to continue this storyline next week.
