Daniel Bryan Will Face Roman Reigns For The Universal Title Next Week, But If Bryan Loses...He's BANISHED

Next Friday's episode of SmackDown will be headlined by a Universal Championship match with Roman Reigns putting his title on the line against Daniel Bryan.

Tonight's show kicked off with Cesaro making his hopes for a title shot clear, and The Big Dog made a decision by the end of the night. After declaring that the Swiss Superman doesn't deserve a match because he's not on the same level as Reigns, the champ made an offer to Daniel Bryan he couldn't refuse: face him next week for one final shot at the Universal Championship.

However, if Bryan loses, he will be "banished" from SmackDown. We know the leader of the Yes Movement still has around six months on his contract, so this isn't a retirement match. It could, however, serve as a good way to give the former WWE Champion some time off before he heads to RAW...or NXT!

Either way, this is an undeniably intriguing bout, and it definitely feels like something might be in the works for Cesaro. For the time being, though, all eyes will be on Bryan and Reigns.
