Daniel Bryan Won His First PPV Singles Match Since Returning But BACKLASH Didn't End Well For Him

Last night's Backlash PPV marked Daniel Bryan's first singles match at such an event in quite some time and while he managed to take down Big Cass, things after the bout didn't go quite so well for him.

Daniel Bryan made his triumphant PPV return at WrestleMania last month but Backlash marked his first singles match since returning from injury as he went to war with Big Cass. Despite the size difference, the Leader of the Yes Movement managed to take his opponent down with the Yes Lock, a sign that WWE definitely has faith in Bryan as a top performer now he's back in action.

However, it doesn't look like this rivalry is anywhere near over because Cass then delivered a brutal beatdown to Bryan after the match, something which may keep this going until Money in the Bank.

That's not necessarily a bad thing but there are better people for Bryan to be feuding with, including the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Samoa Joe. What do you guys think? Are you excited to see more from Bryan and Big Cass in the ring? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
