Daniel Bryan has become a staple on SmackDown in recent years, but his in-ring career on the blue brand is now over. Last week, we learned that Roman Reigns would give the Leader of the Yes Movement a Universal Championship match, but if he were to lose, he'd have to leave the show forever.

It was an incredible bout, and one that saw Bryan come very close to winning the title on a number of occasions. However, the Head of the Table was able to lock in his guillotine submission, and while Bryan didn't tap, he did pass out (which left the referee with no other option than to call the match in Reigns' favour).

The Big Dog wasn't content to leave it there, though, as Cesaro was forced to run in to make the save when Reigns attempted to use a con-chair-to on Bryan. However, Jey Uso was managed to tie him up in the ropes, and he had no other choice than to watch as Reigns performed the devastating move.

It's likely Bryan will now be taking some time off before heading to RAW or NXT. Given the poor quality of the former, we're obviously hoping he makes an impact in NXT instead!

Cesaro getting a main even push is all I've ever wanted. Sad it's destined to end in failure, but I take what I can.
