According to multiple outlets, Edge started talks with both WWE and All Elite Wrestling after revealing during a podcast that he had been cleared to wrestle another match. Apparently, AEW made a serious offer to the WWE Hall of Famer which would have seen him work as a behind the scenes agent or producer as well as wrestling a handful of matches.

Instead, a big money offer from WWE led to Edge deciding to return "home," a decision most fans would agree with as the prospect of him being in AEW really isn't anywhere near as exciting.

Interestingly, after Edge was medically cleared to compete, WWE sent a wrestling ring to his home in North Carolina so he could train ready for his in-ring return. As for how they kept his Royal Rumble return a secret, he was reportedly flown into Houston, Texas on a private plane before being hidden in the arena right up until it was time for him to make his entrance.

Do you think Edge made the right decision picking WWE over AEW?
