It seems in the eyes of Vince McMahon and company; The Ultimate Deletion was a success!

According to Sports Illustrated, McMahon and the higher-ups in the WWE were stunned by the social media success of The Ultimate Deletion match that aired this past month.

The hashtag for the match was trending worldwide at number one for three hours.

This is obviously exciting news as it sounds like we’ll be getting more of the Woken Universe in the WWE. SI also noted that the match was seen as a big success within the WWE office.

The speculation regarding Michael Cole’s negative comments before the match began are still unconfirmed, but it’s believed that Vince was indeed the man behind Cole’s words. Vince being surprised at the success may add to that theory. Vince’s reaction before the match aired probably stems from the negative reaction the company received after the House of Horrors match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt.
