Jason Baker is the man responsible for directing the Firefly Fun House segments on
RAW and
SmackDown Live and after a few weeks of very intriguing videos, the twisted kids TV show took an even darker turn this week when Bray Wyatt revealed his new persona.
Asked what Wyatt's role has been in bringing these video packages to life, Baker revealed:
"He's the brainchild, man, I honestly cannot just sit and be like, 'I did everything,' no, it was a group effort. I wake up and go to sleep from text messages from him. Spitballing ideas back and forth with each other, between him, Nick, Tom [Savini], and everybody else, we brought our little two cents to everything. I think that's why it was a success, it wasn't just one person, it was a group effort."
"It's either everybody goes home empty handed or everybody gets a Super Bowl ring type situation," he continues. "Yeah, it was definitely a fun collaboration, but he was the brainchild—at the center of all of it, it was his baby. Getting the chance to help him bring his ideas and his visions to life was a true honor."
This is no great surprise, because we've known for years that Wyatt is very hands on when it comes to the portrayal of his character and his promos were always a highlight (before they started becoming repetitive enough that it was clear he needed a makeover).
Now, he has one, and it will be interesting seeing how WWE handles him and whether he receives a significant push.
