It probably didn't play out the way he hoped, but Drew McIntyre became WWE Champion at WrestleMania after putting down Brock Lesnar. He kicked off the match with a Claymore Kick to The Beast, only to be taken down by a series of suplexes and THREE F5s. None of them put the Scottish Superstar down for the count, though.
Instead, McIntyre regained the upper hand and hit three finishers of his own with a trio of Claymore Kicks to The Beast which earned him the 1-2-3 and the WWE Championship.
It was a great moment for McIntyre, and one which deserved the usual WrestleMania crowd reaction and fanfare. Unfortunately, it was also a pretty standard Lesnar match, and played out exactly how everyone expected, but it's honestly hard to complain with that result.
