Drew McIntyre Issues A Warning To CM Punk Before CLASH AT THE CASTLE: "There's A Chance You'll Get Jumped"

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre has warned CM Punk not to get involved with his title match against Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle, suggesting he'll be targeted by angry fans.

Original WrestleMania plans called for CM Punk to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, the Best in the World was injured during the Royal Rumble when he took a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre.

He and Punk have been feuding ever since, though the latter still isn't cleared to compete. At Clash in the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, next weekend, McIntyre will move on from the Second City Saint to do battle with World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

The Scottish Psychopath beat Rollins for the title at the Show of Shows, only for an altercation with Punk to lead to him losing it 5 minutes later to then-Money in the Bank holder, Priest.

Now, McIntyre has sent a warning to Punk in case he's planning to make good on his threat to travel to Scotland for the PLE.

"This is Scotland...there's a genuine chance you'll get jumped," he told Cultaholic Wrestling. "I think it would be a mistake for a number of reasons after what happened last time at Clash, I really do not want something like that to happen again to the UK."

"This is Glasgow. This is Scotland, this is different. I would strongly suggest not getting involved or doing anything to rock the boat during this show as there's a genuine chance you'll get jumped. I'm not even joking. And there's a genuine chance the security guards won't stop them because they're Scottish as well.

"I'm telling you, there's a good chance you'll get jumped and security will help jump you if you get involved in my match," McIntyre concluded.

Earlier this year, McIntyre explained why he hates Punk so much:

"He made my life hell when I was a kid. I was young, naïve, new to America, and could barely figure out how to pay bills, never mind making it in WWE. He could have helped me and helped me navigate those waters instead of actively hurting me."

"I’ve figured it out. I’m one of the top dogs in WWE. I’m a big, giant, angry monster now, and I’m going to smack him around. He breaks so easily, I don’t want to hit him so hard, he’s made of glass. Every time I break him, he goes away, he rehabs, he keeps coming back to the Terminator, so I need to figure out a way to take him out for good."

Seeing as he's been antagonising Punk on social media recently, we'd bet on some sort of interference at Clash at the Castle. It's also possible the former AEW star will show up to challenge McIntyre for the title.

However, with Gunther earning the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, it's hard to say when the match will take place...
