Drew McIntyre entered Sunday's
Royal Rumble match at #16 and ended up eliminating WWE Champion Brock Lesnar before ultimately winning the match. Now, the Scottish Superstar is set to face The Beast at
WrestleMania and it's clear that his star is on the rise.
Shortly after the PPV took place, McIntyre spoke to Bleacher Report and revealed that he was only told about plans for him to win the Rumble a few short hours before the match actually took place.
"I didn’t know anything yesterday," he said on Sunday night. "I’m talking about today late. I’ve learned through my experience just to go with the flow. And when you get information, you take it and you perform it to the best of your ability. That’s why I always say sports entertainers, wrestlers, don’t get the credit we deserve."
"You’ve got to be thinking on your feet, you’ve got to be ready to improve, and you’re doing your own stunts," he continued. "You’ve got to pull the emotions of the crowd in the direction you want them to go. And there is no business like this. We literally think on our feet."
Fans are 100% behind McIntyre now that we're on the Road to WrestleMania and it's obviously going to be exciting seeing what happens when he clashes with Lesnar at the Show of Shows.
