Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Has Come Under Fire For Past Comments About Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of those celebrities who can seemingly do no wrong but it appears as if past comments about Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince may have come back to bite The Great One...

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson doesn't often lose his cool on social media but when CNN reporter Oliver Darcy pointed out an Instagram post from a few months back in which the former WWE Superstar praised Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince after meeting with him. Like many other celebrities, Johnson was clearly impressed by what he heard from him but that's now starting to backfire.

That can obviously be blamed on the recent assassination of a Saudi journalist, something which has led to fellow actor Gerard Butler and others severing ties with the still quite backward nation.

In fairness to Johnson, he wasn't to know something like this would happen and is far from the only one to be taken in by big promises from the Saudis. Even so, with WWE still planning to hold Crown Jewel there, it will be interesting seeing what sort of reaction others have to that and their own relationship with Saudi Arabia. What do you guys think about Johnson's past comments?
