Edge Addresses His Big Comeback On RAW Before Being Brutally Attacked By Randy Orton

Well, it looks like the rumors about Randy Orton being Edge's first opponent were true. In one of the most disturbing scenes we've witnessed in WWE in some time, The Viper viciously attacked his old partner.

The real Randy Orton is back, and that's very bad news for Edge.

The Rated-R Superstar made his way out to the ring in the final segment of Raw to address his big comeback at the Royal Rumble. In a similar speech to the one Daniel Bryan gave when he came out of retirement, Edge said that over the years he began to feel pretty good, and once he asked himself "what if," there was no turning back and he began training to get into the best shape of his career. He said he's aware that at 46-years-old he may not have a long run, but he hopes the fans will be along for the ride.

At that, Randy Orton's music hit and it looked like they were setting up for a Rated RKO reunion. But The Viper was just suckering his old friend in, and his a dreaded RKO outta nowhere before things got really nasty. In a scene that was genuinely difficult to watch, Orton grabbed a couple of chairs and delivered a one-man Con-Chair-To (a move Edge and Christian appropriated back in the day) to his old friend.

Edge was then taken off on a stretcher and taken to a "local medical facility."

It looks like Edge vs. Randy Orton is set for WrestleMania.
